Discovering What God Values Most

What if we’ve been chasing the wrong version of “valuable”?

We live in a world that’s quick to label success—likes, followers, bank accounts, resumes—but here’s the problem: what culture calls valuable often doesn’t line up with what heaven calls valuable. And that’s exactly why we’re diving into our new series at Dreamer’s Church called “VALUABLE: Discovering What God Values Most.”

Discovering what’s truly VALUABLE starts by asking, “What matters most to God?” A purpose-driven follower of Jesus isn’t swayed by the noise of culture, but passionately pursues what heaven calls valuable—investing time, energy, and heart into things that last. In a world full of distractions, clarity comes when we align our values with the King and His Kingdom.

What God values often isn’t your typical values list. His values are all about realigning our hearts, our priorities, and our pursuits with the heart of purpose for our life. God's best is better than what often think we want. He is a good God, and has great things in store for us (Jer 29:11, Matt 6:33-34). Thats why what matters most to God should matter most to me!

So, What Does God Value Most? Let’s start with this bold Kingdom truth:

People matter most.

Luke 19:10 reminds us why Jesus came:

“For the Son of Man came to seek and to save the lost.”

That’s not just theology—that’s strategy. The highest value in heaven is people. Broken people. Searching people. Overlooked people. That’s what Jesus came for. That’s who He’s building His church for.

And that’s why Dreamer’s Church exists—to help people know God, find freedom, discover purpose, and make a difference.

As followers of Jesus, we are:
  • Set free – “Through Christ Jesus... the law of the Spirit who gives life has set you free…” (Romans 8:2)
  • Called to serve – “Do not use your freedom to indulge the flesh; rather, serve one another humbly in love.” (Galatians 5:13)
  • Living for eternity – “Now that you have been set free... the result is eternal life.” (Romans 6:22)

Kingdom Culture Starts with Kingdom Values

Here at Dreamer’s Church, we’ve built our community around what God calls valuable:
  • Love God first – We’re not casual about this. We’re all in with heart, soul, mind, and strength. (Deut 6:5, Luke 10:27)
  • Love people above ourselves – Because we’re called to be the kind of church that doesn’t just believe in love, but lives it out. (Philippians 2:3-4, Romans 12:10)
  • Love the House of God – Not out of obligation, but because we’ve discovered the joy and power of biblical community. (Hebrews 10:24-25, Acts 2:42)
  • Be ALL IN – No halfway faith here. Our city, our families, our future deserve a church that’s fully awake and fully alive. (Acts 2:44-47, Proverbs 3:5)
  • Take One Step at a Time – You don’t have to have it all figured out. Just keep stepping in the direction of God’s voice. (Psalm 119:105, Matthew 6:34)

"When people see the church fighting for what God values, not what the world validates—they’ll run toward purpose, not away from it."

This Sunday at Dreamer’s Church, we're praying God will shift your perspective and show you what’s truly VALUABLE.
