Does God have a Dwelling Place in Austin
Have you ever thought about the incredible reality that God wants to dwell with His people? From the Garden of Eden to the story of Moses, God’s heart has always been to live among us, guiding and transforming us.
When people ask, "Does God have a Dwelling Place in Austin" the answer is easy... Yes, it's you and I. Paul tells us in 1 Corinthians 3:16, that we are God’s temple and that God’s Spirit dwells in your midst? 17 If anyone destroys God’s temple, God will destroy that person; for God’s temple is sacred, and you together are that temple. God illustrates this desire to dwell with His people throughout the Bible.
The story of Moses was referenced in Hebrews 11:24-29 because it is such a powerful example of living life “by faith.” Moses made courageous decisions, not based on what he could see but on God’s invisible promises. He chose to walk away from the treasures of Egypt, endure mistreatment, and follow God’s call. Why? Because he lived with an unshakable faith that God would dwell with His people.
When I think about God dwelling with us, I liken it to Wi-Fi signals. They are invisible but powerful. You trust they are working when you connect your device, even though you can’t see them. God dwelling with us is like spiritual Wi-Fi—You can know that God’s presence and power are actively present, even when you can’t see him.
Faith isn’t just believing in what we can’t see—it’s acting on it. Moses’ story reminds us that living by faith means trusting God’s plan to dwell with us, even when circumstances seem impossible. Like Moses, we are called to live as if God is already moving, because He is.
This last Sunday at Dreamer’s Church, we dove into what it means to live by faith and how God desires to dwell with us. Each of us can grow in our understanding of what it means to live by faith. This sermon will give you a fresh revelation of Gods desire to dwell with you.
