LEGACY - Investing in God's Kingdom, knowing it'll outlast our lives on earth

Hey Dreamer's Church family! We want to talk about a special opportunity that’s near and dear to our hearts—the Legacy Offering. Legacy is our opportunity to say "YES" to God! Legacy isn’t just a campaign or a project; it’s a vision that runs deep, one that invites each of us to participate and invest in something that will outlive us and impact generations to come.

The Heart of Legacy

Why do we talk about Legacy? Because we want to invest in things that outlast our lives, particularly through giving to expand God's Kingdom and helping others come to faith. At the heart of Legacy is a passion for impacting communities through church gatherings, outreach, missions and investing in leadership, particularly by empowering the next generation through training programs like Dreamer’s Bible College.

Why Legacy Matters

Jesus said in Matthew 6:19-21, “Do not store up for yourselves treasures on earth…but store up for yourselves treasures in heaven.” Legacy is about shifting our perspective from the temporary to the eternal. This offering isn’t just a financial decision; it’s a Kingdom investment. It’s about planting seeds today that will grow and flourish for years to come, affecting lives and bringing people into God’s family.

Here’s what makes Legacy powerful: it’s not just about Dreamer’s Church; it’s about all the lives we’ll touch, the families we’ll restore, and the communities we’ll impact. As we step out in faith, we’re believing that God will do more than we can ask, think, or imagine. This is a defining moment for our church, and I believe we’re going to look back one day and be amazed at what God has done through our faith and generosity.

We’re trusting God to lead us into six key areas of impact:

1. A Permanent Home for Dreamer’s Church: We’re raising $1.5 million to secure a building that will be a legacy for generations. We want a home that’s not just rented, but ours, free from the weight of rent and taxes, so we can focus our resources on people and outreach.
2. Worship That Transforms: We want to grow our worship ministry—train new leaders, write new songs, and bring heaven to earth. Worship is the heartbeat of our church, and through the Legacy Offering, we’re taking it to new heights.
3. Community Outreach: Legacy means reaching out to our city. With a focus on local schools, nonprofits, and families, we’re aiming to invest $18,000 to extend hope to the broken and welcome those far from God.
4. Dreamer’s Bible College: Raising up the next generation of leaders is vital. Through the Bible College, we’re preparing young adults to carry the torch of faith and make a difference wherever they go. We’re investing $100,000 to build a place for training, discipleship, and growth.
5. Spanish Ministry Expansion: Austin is diverse, and we want to be a place where everyone feels at home. With $50,000, we’re going to launch a Spanish service and deepen our reach to our Spanish-speaking community.
6. Church Planting and Global Missions: We’re not just here for Austin; we’re here for the world. Over the next three years, we’re setting aside $100,000 to support church plants and global missions, bringing the love of Jesus to places near and far.

Everyone Gets to Be a Part of This

The beauty of this Legacy Offering is that it’s not just for “some” of us; it’s for all of us! Whether it’s giving financially, committing to prayer, or serving in new ways, every one of us has a role to play. This isn’t about equal giving but equal sacrifice, and God has a unique part for each of us in this journey.

You may be wondering, “How can I be a part of this?” Here’s how:

1. Pray with Us: Prayer fuels everything we do. Start by asking God what He wants you to contribute to this Legacy vision. Join us in praying for each of these six areas, asking God to multiply our efforts and bless every step we take.
2. Give Generously: Maybe God is calling you to give a one-time gift, or perhaps to commit to giving monthly over the next year. Whatever you decide, know that every seed you plant will grow, producing a harvest that impacts lives in ways we can’t even imagine.
3. Serve Joyfully: God has given each of us unique gifts and talents. If you haven’t yet joined a Dream Team, now is the time. Whether it’s through worship, hospitality, outreach, or kids ministry, your time and energy are vital to making this vision a reality.

Our Legacy Offering journey will unfold over four powerful Sundays, each with a unique focus and opportunity to sow into the future. Pastor Poncho and Lora will lead by example, giving on November 10th, followed by our Leadership team of Coordinators on November 17th. Then, on November 24th and December 1st, the entire Dream Team and church family will have the chance to bring their offerings.

Whether through a one-time gift or a commitment to give monthly over the coming year, every contribution matters as we join together, trusting God for an extraordinary harvest and believing that our generosity will fuel the impact for generations to come.

Faith Scriptures to Stand On

As we prepare our hearts for Legacy, let these scriptures encourage you. They’re powerful promises from God, reminders of His faithfulness and goodness. Here are eight scriptures to pray over as we step into this journey together:

• Luke 6:38 - “Give, and you will receive. Your gift will return to you in full—pressed down, shaken together to make room for more, running over, and poured into your lap.”
• 2 Corinthians 9:11 - “You will be enriched in every way so that you can be generous on every occasion, and through us your generosity will result in thanksgiving to God.”
• Proverbs 3:9-10 - “Honor the LORD with your wealth, with the firstfruits of all your crops; then your barns will be filled to overflowing.”
• Genesis 26:12-13 - “Then Isaac sowed in that land and reaped in the same year a hundredfold; and the LORD blessed him.”
• Philippians 4:19 - “And my God will meet all your needs according to the riches of his glory in Christ Jesus.”
• Ephesians 3:20-21 - “Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us.”
