God's Thoughts on Humanity

Mar 12, 2023    Pastor Poncho Lowder

In this series of messages we’re discussing how the Bible teaches that all people, regardless of gender, race and status are equally called to serve God and contribute to His Kingdom.

In the first message we talked about how in the beginning God created us male and female and commissioned both equally to rule and reign together (Gen 1:26). This is where the conversation starts, but not where it ends…

It's essential that we have open and honest conversations about these topics and establish a Biblical foundation. The New Testament church modeled a more inclusive community than is often seen today.

Unfortunately, for far too long, women have been marginalized and underrepresented in leadership roles within the Church. By valuing and utilizing the unique gifts and perspectives that women bring to leadership, we can create a stronger and more effective church that reflects God's image and Biblical pattern.

The goal of these conversations is to actively work towards Biblical gender equality in all areas of the church. Together, I believe we can create a community that honors and empowers all of its members to serve God to the best of their abilities.

I hope you can join us this Sunday @dreamerschurchatx as we continue this insightful journey looking at the practices of the New Testament church, how women practically functioned in the different churches, and we will look at the scriptures classically used to keep women from leadership (1 Cor 11:3-16 ; 1 Cor 14:33-36 ; 1 Tim 2:11-14).
