JESUS IS

Jesus Is… scholars often identify more than 200 names or titles for Jesus in the Bible.

The titles given to Jesus in the Bible reveal a multifaceted identity. Each title unveils a unique

aspect of His nature, character, and purpose, offering profound insights into the diverse ways He

relates to us on our faith journey to significance. These titles convey roles such as Savior, King,

Shepherd, and Lord, providing a comprehensive framework to comprehend His desired involvement in

our lives today. In this series, we are going to look at a few of these titles to help us to know God more.

1. Emmanuel:

Matthew 1:23 - "The virgin will conceive and give birth to a son, and they will call him Immanuel" (which means "God with us").

2. Messiah/Christ:

Matthew 16:16 - Simon Peter replied, "You are the Messiah, the Son of the living God."

3. Son of God:

Matthew 14:33 - Then those who were in the boat worshiped him, saying, "Truly you are the Son of God."

4. Son of Man:

Mark 10:45 - For even the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give his life as a

ransom for many.

5. King of Kings and Lord of Lords:

Revelation 19:16 - On his robe and on his thigh he has this name written: king of kings and lord of lords.

6. Lamb of God:

John 1:29 - The next day John saw Jesus coming toward him and said, "Look, the Lamb of God, who

takes away the sin of the world!"

7. The Alpha and the Omega:

Revelation 22:13 - I am the Alpha and the Omega, the First and the Last, the Beginning and the End.

8. The Word:

John 1:1 - In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.

9. Savior:

Luke 2:11 - Today in the town of David a Savior has been born to you; he is the Messiah, the Lord.

10. The Way, the Truth, and the Life:

John 14:6 - Jesus answered, "I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me."

11. The Prince of Peace:

Isaiah 9:6 - For to us a child is born, to us a son is given, and the government will be on his shoulders. And he will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.
